The SCHOOL FOR VAMPIRES, the TV series adapted from the popular Jackie Niebisch’s books have been an outstanding success in the Gerhard Hahn produced series on ARD and KIKA.
The Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM) suppots the projects development of the motion picture SCHOOL FOR VAMPIRES by sponsoring the production of a 3D - stereoscopy-teaser, developed by RABBIX VFX GmbH Weimar and Hahn Film AG. The director and producer Gerhard Hahn will start teh production of the motion picture this year.
A vampire boy, who can see no blood at all, in love with an an evil Human girl named Sunshine – the cards are stacked against Oscar, the vampire! His friends are flashy, lovable, named Stoker, Gruftine, Klot or Graf Horrificus and have one thing in common: They are all vampires and pupils.
The filming of the book series by Jackie Niebisch, which was already published in 5 countries, is produced by the ARD and co-produced by CARTOON ONE and DZT. 78 episodes were aired by the ARD and KIKA at high broadcast rates.
A further 26 new adventures with Oscar and his friends are being produced and will be broadcasted from March 2010.
